There is nothing quite like the anticipation of a “Top Secret” project.

For the last few months, I’ve been working behind the scenes with Corey to plan the ultimate surprise 50th birthday for his wife, Amanda. We met via secret Zoom calls and communicated through “hush hush” emails to ensure every detail of her 80’s Female Rockers theme was perfect.

In early April, in the private event space above The Golden Hoosier, we finally pulled it off.

A Living Family Heirloom

While the 80’s bangers (think Stevie Nicks, Joan Jett, and Heart) kept the energy high, the most impactful moment was a quiet one. Twenty-five years after her wedding, Amanda shared a Polka dance with her father.

Seeing traditions like this really spark the utmost gratitude in me.
