We took over SweetArt in St. Louis to celebrate my Dominican bestie, Valeria Rodriguez. Inspired by the Goddess Oshun, the room was a sea of gold, cream, and denim—a literal work of art.
From the Insta360 “behind-the-decks” views to the iPhone captures of the dance floor, the vibe was unmatched.
We journeyed through:
The Sounds: A soulful blend of Soul, R&B, Afrobeats, Latin, Dancehall, and House.
The Energy: Line dancing, hilarious bridal games (yes, including the penis drawing contest!), and an epic dance-off. 😂
The Vibe: Dominican and Island roots meeting Black soulful excellence.
Why it worked: As a DJ, my goal is to handle the flow so perfectly that the hosts and coordinators can just be.
I manage the energy transitions and the “hands-off” logistics so you can soak up the moment and fall in love with life all over again.
