Our very first Open Decks DJ House Party (the official launch of the DJ AO PreGame Series) was a masterclass in what happens when a community leans into sweet, wholesome vibes and safe creative expansion. We brought together multi-generational selectors, movement leaders, entrepreneurs, and friends right in the heart of Saint Louis.
The energy was so beautiful & we captured the entire afternoon. The finished 7.5-minute vlog is officially live!

The Salsa Circle: We had the incredible Salsa Teacher Gerald Harrison (G) take over the patio, getting everyone synchronized, laughing, and stepping together.
The Turn Down for What Transition: A high-energy throwback to our college days that completely broke the ice.
The “Spend That” Segment: A hilarious, infectious live Hip Hop moment where the dancing & transitions locked in.

What makes this space so unique is the intentional ecosystem of people sharing their gifts:
The Selectors: Watching DJ Manifest (my incredible mentor with 20 years in the game), veteran DJ Jillian (12 years), myself (4 years), and DJ SpaceTime (3 years) pass the headphones back and forth was an honor. We even welcomed our new selector brother DJ Bam, whom I just met at our recent Pride DayDream event at The Church on Delmar!
The Creatives: My beautiful bestie Arion Castillo, a published author and the inspiring founder of Another Me LLC, was in the building adding her brilliant, grounded energy to the sanctuary.
The Food: The entire day was fueled by the soul-nourishing, high-vibrational catering of Chef Annae founder of Hope’s Kitchen! Having Chef Annae hold down the kitchen while we hold down the sound system is the ultimate dream come true!

The response to this launch was so massive that we are officially scaling up the frequency for the entire city.
Mark your calendars for Sunday, August 2nd! We are hosting our large-scale, public Open Family Reunion in partnership with The Pachamama Shift Foundation 501(c)3. This will be a beautiful public sanctuary for family wellness, live music, youth open decks, and deep connection.
