It's Ujima Day! Collective Work & Responsibility 🫶🏽✨
Learn about this Kwanzaa tradition & support the youth with outdoor education, urban farming & mental health!
It’s Ujima Day! 12/28 every year!
Since 2020, I’ve been working with my favorite nonprofit Ujima STL to help teens learn about the Earth, how to work in cooperation & collaboration with each other.
How to give back to the community & be responsible for our collective well-being.
It’s a JOY to serve as a board member.
Not only am I working with my best friends, I’m serving my favorite people - the youth.
Farming, food, health & the outdoors have always meant everything to me.
That’s why it was SO EASY & so aligned.
Here’s a pic by Tyler Small (St. Louis photographer & creator) with our founder Nickolas Speed & mental health specialist Natasha Elizabeth.
When you love the work you do & who you do it with, life is so much better.
This is the squad (including interns & teen apprentices) at OUR George Washington Carver Farms in North City, Saint Louis.
