Being a Peruvian-American from the San Francisco Bay Area, seeing our Latin culture take center stage in my own hometown was everything!
I was lightweight heartbroken not to be there. As I watched with my sons, I realized it’s such an honor to be here. And la cultura must be shared! 🥹🫶🏽✨🇵🇷🇵🇪
I want my boys to know that their bloodline is powerful.
I want them to hear the indigenous flutes of Peru and the African drums, feel the bailes - feel at home, all over the world.
This mix is the ancestors. An ode to the African Diaspora, traditional rhythms, indigenous dance & our elders.
